I believe that gangs are a group of bad people. Because have you ever heard someone say "my gang and i are going to the soup kitchen to help out". I believe that gangs are bad because its a group of organized criminals. I believe that maybe there is some nice gangs but i haven't met any. No I am not part of a gang
i disagree because you think that gang doesn't work out in that phrase because people never use that so you think its bad. if people always used that you probably wouldn't have said that you would probably say that gang is bad and good like i did
I believe that a gang is a group of bad people because people never say for example my study gang is going to the lilbray. We normally say my study group is going to the lilbray. But the reason why we think that it means bad people is that we alway use the term gang to discribe a group of bad people

But apart from what I know is that all the gangs I hear about are bad. I don't think gangs are always bad but they have probably done something bad at one point. No, I am not in a gang but I do like to hang around the same group of friends.
In my opinion, gangs are there to cause havoc, to preform theft, to murder, and to deal drugs. The actions that gangs do are intentionally bad, but some of the people in a gang may not be truly bad people. They could be in a gang to maybe support their family, who are poor or are in dept and need to get money, or maybe they had the wrong influence or were forced into it. I'm not saying that all gang members are good people, I'm just stating that not every gang member were given a fair chance in life and took that path to survive in life or to get money that they really need.
Gangs is basically a bunch of people who do bad things to either become more rich make more people afraid of them and a bunch of bad things like that. Do I think that all gangs are bad, no, not all gangs are bad because if you take example such as the black panthers. Yes they were a gang but it doesn't mean that they did bad things, the black panthers were a gang that wanted to stop the government from making black people go into the vietnam war. I am not part of any sorts of gangs and i think that there is good and bad gangs in this world.
That's exactly what I think. Not all people are bad but some words generalize groups as bad. It shouldn't be allowed to stereotype a group of people based on what they call themselves.
I don't know very much about gangs, but it was taught to me, seeing the news, hearing people saying, that gang equals troublemakers. Maybe the actual meaning of a gang is people who hang together, but that's not explained. When you hear from a neighborhood and someone says that in it has gangs, it is implicit that that place is dangerous and you don't want to go there. I'm not on a gang and I don't really want to because it goes against my values and with the way I was raised.
When I think of gangs I think of violence, gangs don't always mean violence though. A gang is a group of people people just always assume its a group of people doing bad things. It can be a gang of friends though that are just walking around. If you have friends you are in a gang so yes im in gang.

Because when you are in a gang that is very close they treat you like family and they would protect you no matter what happens if you are important in the gang. Or else they aren't the best things in the world. Obviously a lot of violence occurs between them because of fall outs and fights. Innocent people get injured while the gangs are i rivalries and fighting.

I also think that there are a good type of gangs like they might not commit crimes or murder people they might just be a group of friends or just a group of something and they call themselves a gang.

However, they also state that a gang is a group of people who are friends and who do "things" together. if you look at the first two definitions, you can immediately conclude that a gang is a terrible group of people who is involved with criminal activity. However, the third definition is what sparks most of the argument that if gangs are good or bad. Personally, I find the third definition quite vague, because they did not explain what “things” meant. theoretically, it could mean anything. it could mean being involved with robberies and murders. Or it could simply mean organizing an event like a movie with your friends. However, you would not call your group friends a “gang”. As such, I believe that there are only the bad kind of gangs who commit crimes and are involved with criminal activities.
I think it depends on the people you associate the word gang with. If you're talking about people who commit crimes, obviously they would be bad. If you're talking about a group of people that call refer to themselves as a gang then no, so you never know.

For example in the movies, usually gang are thought of as bad people and there the people that comit crimes and are rebelious. But to me, a gang doent nessearaly have to be a bad thing. A gang could simply be a group of frends that tend to spend a fair about of time with eachother. Id say Im in a gang. My gang consists of a few girls. We usually hang out with eachother at reccess and at lunch time.
a gang to me is a group of people that sounds tough but I think it is really just slang because a club is like a gang a sports team is like a gang it really just the image it imposes that makes it a gang.
In my option ,the gang is a group of people that maybe kind before ,but after joining the gang they become bad .But I think ,we need to figure out why people join the gang. Maybe they are homeless man ,or they don't receive love from society.Then they become bad and join in the gang. That wasn't always they faults. Think over.
