I never really liked american idol as much as i did x factor. I think people will much rather like watching reality tv than shows like american idol. These two types of shows are different but similar in a way, its considered real life, but american idol is for actual people who have talent, unlike reality stars like the kardashians who have none.
I use to be a fan of this show until I realized country singers always make it to the finals and most of the times win and I hate country music with a passion. I like to watch real people doing real stuff not watching stuff that looks so fake you can tell.
No I was never really a fan of American Idol, I liked watching The Voice more. I think these shows do have a value today because they are able to make people famous and into singers. I think people like watching these type of shows because they are real and these shows show people who have talent.
I used to watch it but now I stopped because there is too many seasons. Country singers always win and I'm not a fan of country music. Yes they have value because I know people that watch it. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but EVERYTHING TIME, I have a favourite singer, he/she loses. Also, I only like to watch the finale.

The only thing that I found a little funny was when the horrible singers came on trying to win the show but they never end up winning. I dont think that shows like american idol still have value today because all the shows on tv nowadays is all of the reality shows and everybody wants to watch that and no one wants to watch american idol. Why so many people dont watch this show is either because they probably dont take interest in these shows or they have shows they enjoy more than American Idol.
I have watch this show maybe once or twice, i didn't really like it so much so i don't know why people would watch it or not.so i think it depend on the person if they like watching people perform on TV find that the TV show is ok,however most people like my sister watch the X factor.

I think this kind of reality shows are very cool because people get the chance to show their talents and have an opportunity that maybe they could never have if the show didn’t exist. It is an amazing form to find new artists and introduce them to the industry. I think that people watch this show because it is really entertaining to see the performances, all the difficulties the contestants go through and to see common people become great artists.
I have never been a huge fan of the show, but my mom was. Therefore, I would watch it with her a lot. I found that it was fun watching it with her and I have very good memories with that show. I was a bit confused to why they had to make this the last season. Considering it is a very popular show. Many people watch an enjoy these shows. Therefore, I think thy have value. I believe people watch shows like American Idol or The Voice because they enjoy seeing new artists they had never seen. Also, the people who watch the show want to know who will win. But mostly because they like seeing new artists.

I am not really a fan of reality tv shows and if I had to pick one I would probably watch America's Got Talent, just because it has more to it than singing. I can't say for myself since I don't watch the show but I think it is losing its value since there are newer reality music shows and American Idol is just getting older. The reason why people would watch this is because they enjoy music or be inspired to be a musician. the reason people wouldn't watch this is because they don't enjoy these types of shows or they don't like music.
i never watched american idol but iv heard of it and i think its okay but im not a fan of singing talent shows. i think so many people watch this because they want to see the talent that people have these days and also they like it because its there country's best singers and because people can have suck great talent.
I can’t really say if I’m a fan of the show beause I have never watched the show but I do know what it is about. American idol is a show that makes people say “Wow, how do people do this and make it look easy.” I say yes it still holds value because many people enjoy these shows. People watch these shows because it’s cool seeing people do crazy things and succeeding.
I think American Idol is a really good show. I’ve watched this show on many occasions and I thought it was really good. I think that music is always something we will have and be interested in, so I think that American Idol still has value today. Although I do enjoy American Idol I never really followed it. These shows are are debatable, some think that its overrated others think its one of the best shows out there. It is watched and liked by many, but it is also disliked my many. It all depends on there opinion.

I was never really into the show American Idol to begin with. A lot of people were into it but I never really saw why you would get into it. It's just the same content over and over. All my family was into it and they tried to get me into it but it never happened because it's just people singing and that's it. I'm more really into funny shows like South Park and serious shows like Breaking Bad and the Walking Dead. I also think that American Idol has lost its value because it's a lot of the same content and I think that people would like a change in the show except people just singing. Also there are a lot of new shows today and those shows are very interesting so they attract more people to watch the show. I think a lot of people used to watch the show but now a lot of people don't because shows like these get boring after a while and it's always the same kind of singers that win. In the end I'm not saying that it's a bad show but I think people would like a change in the show and I think the producers of the show are smart enough to get more ideas for the show.
