Your FINAL BLOG topic is FREE CHOICE! You could blog about whatever it is you want, except what you've already blogged about! You could go on a rant or you could simply blog about something important to you.
Since this is your FINAL BLOG OF this school year do something creative! Write about something you feel important or something you would like to tell your audience for the last time this year. Talk about something that you thoroughly enjoyed or something that bugged you. Do something UNIQUE!
You must remember your audience. It is not simply me (Mr. Katz) reading this blog!
If you will be ranting about a certain individual, you need to leave their name out of this. You could give them a pseudonym or simply leave their name as anonymous.
Make sure your language is appropriate. Do not go on swearing tangents.
Happiness is something everyone wants. But what I want others to understand that, from my point of view, happiness doesn’t come from money, or luxury things. You can own all the things in the world and still feel unsatisfied. Or vice versa, you can have very little and be happy with the little you have. All this to day is that happiness comes from you and how you decide to see the world and the things around you. So, to truly become happy you have to ask yourself “Today, I can have a positive outlook, or a negative outlook, which is it gonna be?”
ReplyDeleteThats the right attitude.
DeleteYeah I totally agree
Deleteaww cute blog :)
DeleteThis this blog has to be about something unique I have chosen to write about the TV show House of Cards. The House of Cards is a new show I have been watching on netflix, I don't normally get into TV shows very much but for some reason I can't help myself from watching. It is about white house and the politics that Happens inside although everything thing that goes on is clearly made up they find ways to push the envelope. The one main character they have Frank Underwood, is full of surprise's and just when you think you know him he does the unthinkable. I talk about this show for my blog because it is something I have recently taken a keen interest on and I think I have learned alot.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good show, maybe I should check it out on Netlix.
DeleteIt sounds really cool! I have a friend that started to watch it too and he told me the same thing, that it's really good.
DeleteFor this blog, I want to talk about how satisfied I am with the minor amount of homework given throughout the school year. Of course you're given homework on a daily bases with classes such as math but that's really it. You get science homework assigned once in a blue moon unless it's to study for a test, history gives homework not very often and when it is assigned it's very straightforward and precise. Other than those classes we don't really get much homework which is a good thing because it's gives me and other students time to relax at home and the opportunity to do activities on their free time.
ReplyDeleteI agree we were barely given any homework this year.
DeleteFor my last blog, I will be talking about the time I was volunteering to help out seniors. Boden and I had the opportunity to try and experience what it would be like to work with older people. I kind of felt nervous going up to them because some seemed rude but they all ended up liking us so that was a positive. The worst experience I had working there was when I spilled milk on an old lady's arm. I felt embarrassed and I had to clean it off which was kind of weird. I had fun doing this but I don't think I want to do it again.
ReplyDeleteWow how nice of you! and wow can't believe you spilled that milk!
DeleteWow Alex cho way to spill that milk
DeleteI remember that like it was yesterday
DeleteFor the final blog I would like to talk about my expectations of this school to my old on. Now my old school was pretty dumb all test where easy i had a 90 in every subject and now they even took french away same with gym for finish work time. This school though is a lot harder the test actually challenge you and getting 90 in every thing is a lot harder then where I lived. This changed my life a lot.
ReplyDeleteFor my final blog I'd like to talk about the African children in the picture above. They have no food and about 10 drops of water in total in Africa, they still smile. If Connor Douglas doesn't eat breakfast hes grumpy the whole day. Most African people don't have an education because earthquakes keep destroying their schools yet they still know how to spell sword unlike Francis.
ReplyDeleteAmazing Blog Connor
DeleteI really found your blog funny
DeleteFor this blog I will writing about me that I actually go to the gym, wow I know crazy a person like me going to the gym. It actually weird because when im in a conversation of people talking about going to the gym, i will say something like yeah I go to the gym literally everyone in that conversation will look at me and say "You go to the gym?????" I dont really understand what is so special about going to the gym I guess its just the skinniest kid you will ever meet.
ReplyDeleteYOU GO TO THE GYM???
DeleteI did not know you went to the gym. Thats cool
DeleteI guess for this blog I'll kind of steal the topic from Alex and write about volunteering with the elders last summer. It was pretty fun and yes Alex actually did spill milk on some old lady. Although we did have a great time, especially talking to this retired doctor named Dr.Jack, when I first said hi to him I started a conversation and he fell asleep while I was talking, one of the workers told me not to take offence because he sleeps while doing or talking about anything. My favourite elder was named Zeddie, she was this crazy old black lady and she loved bingo. I had to help her play one time and she just started uncontrollably burping on and around me and Alex and I wouldn't stop dying of laughter. She had no clue why we were laughing and that made it so much better. If I got the chance to see them again and visit them I would, I would want to see how they're doing but for sure never work there for free again, too much work!
ReplyDeleteFor this blog I'd like to talk about society's expectation on body image. As summer gets close all I read and see is people getting their "bikini bodies" ready for summer, meaning they are working out and doing exercises more than ever because they are ashamed of their bodies. I think it's really ridiculous how people feel that way. Yes, people should do exercises to have a healthy life but not to get skinny, because society dictates that's what makes you pretty. We all should feel good about ourselves and how we look and try not to get brain washed with unrealistic standards of beauty. We are all beautiful in our own unique ways and the most important thing in the summer is to have fun and being worried with how people think about you and your body. And of course always use sunscreen because being exposed to the sun too much can cause skin cancer.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Be who you are and dont let society run your life
DeleteFor this blog I’m going to be talking about my school year, this year has been a good year for me. I made great friends, got mostly good marks and had some good teachers. This year went by really quickly but I am happy that it’s ending; I really want it to be summer again. Anyways I had a good school year and hopefully I will do well on the exams.
ReplyDeleteI never really understood the term "mans best friend" until I experienced the pure joy and warmth of having a companion in the form of not a human, but two dogs. My little Boston and giant Rotty are two of the most loyal dogs I have ever met; they greet me when I walk through the door and they stick by my side until I fall asleep at night. When I come home from school or after I've been out for the day the excitement on my pets faces is wondrous, to tell me dogs are only loyal because you provide food and shelter is an understatement, me and my dogs share so much mutual trust, something that is so hard to find in humans.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, I have 3 dogs myself. Great blog!
DeleteFor my free blog I'm going to talk about something that not everyone believes in: ghosts. My brother died in 2004, his name was Alexander but now we call him Ashling. Every year on his birthday (February 8) my family and I take a picture of us and every year we see a foggy spot at the top right, beside me because he said that I was his favourite family member. And also, every year on my birthday the radio turns on and my favourite song (Yellow Submarine by The Beatles) plays. Believe what you want to believe, but I will always know that it's my brother!
ReplyDeleteWow thats crazy, sorry for your loss
DeleteFor my free blog I'm going to be talking about a trait I have and that is being a lazy perfectionist. For example, I really hate it when my room is messed up, but the last think I would want to do is clean it. I always end up cleaning my room but it involves a lot of procrastination. I don't have OCD or anything, but I really hate mess, and dirt. Like when I'm doing homework, and my room is messy, Its pretty hard to concentrate. In conclusion, Its hard being a lazy perfectionist.
ReplyDeleteThis last blog is going to be a little good luck note to everyone, I understand exams are coming up and a lot of us are mad nervous for them. I think all of us are equally smart and we all have the ability to slay those bitches, so why not? I hope every single one of us remains confident, calm and focused, and i can promise you it will come easier than most girls nowadays, but thats some tea to spill for another day.
ReplyDeleteSince this is the last blog of the year i would like to talk about an important matter. That matter is technology. I enjoy technological advancements like everyone else but i think we are going too far. I say that because nowadays everyone's obsessed with their phones so they miss out on real life. They are attached to social media and try to capture every memory instead of living it. An average teen spends about 6.6 hours looking at a screen. That a lot of time. You could accomplish so much in that much time such as study, exercise, eat but all that time is wasted on social media or just messing around on the internet. A wise man once said
ReplyDeleteSocial media is the only type of social that makes us anti social. I completely agree and we need to do something about this problem as a society to resolve it.
For the free blog I am going to be talking about this year overall it was a good year we surprisingly didn't have tons of homework and most of my teachers were really nice and I found that i learned a lot more this year than any other years I've been in highschool I was never scared to be outgoing and present a project even though its hard for some people this year made me come out of my shell and talk to new people and make a lot of new friends I hope my luck continues with getting good teachers next year.
ReplyDeleteFor my final blog, I'm going to write about how great this school year turned out to be. At the beginning of this school year, I was expecting a lot more responsibilities since we're seniors now. I took one look at my schedule and I said to myself that this is going to be a rough year. I told myself that because I had barely any classes with my friends which sucked and some of the teachers I got weren't my favourite but don't worry Katz, you're my number one on my favourite teachers list. I also thought that this year was going to suck because of the strikes but actually, it worked out just fine. Lastly I thought that this year was going to be terrible is because since we're seniors, we get more homework because we can handle the pressure and that we should be more responsible. In the end, this year was amazing. My classes turned out to be awesome and me being an antisocialist, I talked to a lot of people in the end and my favourite class was off course.....English.
ReplyDeleteI like the blog and i sort of feel the same way.
DeleteFor this blog, I am going to talk about childhood. Childhood is when you are innocent and simple. You can be satisfied easily by candys or toys. You can be happy all the days and you can forget you trouble which is bothering you tomorrow. However, as we grow up, we became greedy and not simple any more. We became sophisticated, and a sycophant. We had trouble everyday, and it stop us from getting happy. If I have the chance, I will go back and enjoy my childhood again.
ReplyDeleteSomething I find very fascinating is the endless possibilities that technology can bring onto us. Some point in time there will be time machines or people living on space that can transport back to earth. Also the entertainment it brings us, like video games or social media. In video games again there are endless possibilities you can create multiple different worlds and different stories.
ReplyDeleteMaybe when I'm older I can start a sports complex and a sports store all in one so I would have to look for a building to by and I would have to buy all the starting things to get my company going. I find that making a business seems hard to get started. And I would maybe do it with someone I know. And also knows about sports. So yea when I started to think on what i should write about I was thinking on making a business when I older so I will take this idea into consideration.
ReplyDeleteFor my final blog I would like to say how amazing of a year it has been this year! I achieved so much this year and met all of my goals. I had lots of fun and met a bunch of new people. As much as I really wan't this year to end, I found that it was my best year in my high school life. This year has been an unforgettable year and I won't forget it.
ReplyDeletefor my final blog ill be talking about the school's dress code rules, girls have to be sent home because i don't think my shoulder, bra strap, belly-button,legs or back are going to distract any male students or others. This dress code is telling girls to cover up so that they don't distract males because "boys will be boys". it's hot!! Girls are going to wear shorts and a tank top. because technically the school is saying that the boys education is more important than the girls because they are sent home if they aren't following the school dress code. like the girls can't even wear ripped jeans like their is nothing wrong with those jeans and it doesnt make us look like slobs, its the new style and the older people should get used to the new trends
